The project involves the implementation of a technological innovation in the company, through the use of WPC (Wood Plastics Composites) plastic in the production process for the manufacture of disposable products in the form of dishes and cutlery and other disposable products. WPC plastic has environmentally friendly characteristics (compared to the polystyrene used so far), as it is 100% of natural origin. Wood-plastic composite (WPC) is classified not only as a renewable material but also as a biodegradable material - it meets the latest European standards for compostability and biodegradability: EN13432 and EN14995. Based on the company's own research, the aforementioned production was found to be possible. Highly technologically advanced material will ensure adequate strength properties of the product. The project is based on the latest available technological solutions developed by the applicant.
As a result of the implementation of the investment project involving the purchase and launch of an innovative technological line with industrial automation for the production, palletizing and packaging of disposable cutlery, co-financed under the Regional Operational Program of the Silesian Province
for 2007-2013, at the company's FAMEKS Jerzy Franek have been introduced:
